About PulpWorks

The Problem PulpWorks is Solving

Single-use plastics are designed for short-term convenience but persist in the natural environment for hundreds of years. Single-use plastics often end up as litter on the streets, in our landfills, and eventually into bodies of water. It breaks down into microplastics, or poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which contaminate our soil and water sources, endangering wildlife and ecosystems across the globe. Plastic pollution in the oceans is a pressing issue. An estimated amount of more than 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic is polluted and rising.  This plastic pollution has created swirling gyres of pollution that now cover 40 percent of the world’s ocean surfaces. With the current annual pollution rate in the millions of metric tons, plastic is expected to outweigh fish in oceans by the year 2050. In response to the global plastic pollution crisis, we are committed to adopting a circular economy approach, using sustainable sources for all our packaging materials.

Our Solution to the Plastic Pollution Crisis

PulpWorks is on the leading edge of this shift in the status quo to safer and healthier packaging. To address this environmental crisis, we design and manufacture eco-friendly packaging for consumer products. Even though molded pulp technology is commonly associated with the egg carton or used ‘behind-the-scenes’ as protective packaging for costly or fragile consumer items, PulpWorks has elevated these raw and post-consumer recycled materials to a new level of retail elegance.  Employing different sources of raw materials, colors, textures, and designs, our innovative designs have attracted customers in categories as diverse as personal care to electronics and beyond.
